Learn the secrets of great Indian vegetarian cookery

Award winning Indian restaurant Prashad are offering demonstration days to learn the secret of their success.

Run by Head Chef Minal Patel, a former mentee of Gordan Ramsay alongside husband and front of house manager Bobby, the demonstration days will allow customers an insider’s view of their business and enable them to pick up tricks and techniques to take home.

downloadBased in Drighlington between Leeds and Bradford the team at the West Yorkshire restaurant focus on using producing a delicious vegetarian menu using local produce and creating a modern fine dining experience for customers alongside their exquisite cuisine.

During the demonstration Bobby & Minal will guide visitors through their experience of growing up with food and their life within Prashad, the heritage behind the recipes and the role of food in Indian culture.

Attendees will start the day with a welcome cup of ginger tea before being briefed on the dishes being prepared.  Once in the kitchen they will have the chance to watch the award winning chef in action, ask lots of questions and pick up on some tricks of the trade, including how different spices work together.

A finalist in Gordon Ramsay’s Best Restaurants in 2010 and holder of an AA Rosette in the same year, the restaurant has been named in the Good Food and Michelin Guides, and won a host of other accolades including the Bib Gourmand in 2014, the Yorkshire Life Chef of the Year 2013, and the Oliver Awards Best Indian Restaurant 2014.

Throughout the day, there will be plenty of opportunities to retire to the restaurant and sample the dishes on offer and each attendee will be given a copy of the restaurants own recipe book and a take away meal for one.
