Lockwood launch search for new chocolate pot

An award winning Ripon restaurant are inviting food lovers and amateur cooks to be part of its culinary history.

Lockwoods, who are celebrating 10 years of serving award-winning food this year, are asking the public to try and improve upon their famous Chocolate Pot recipe.

Having been a staple on their menu for the last decade, the recipe has never been altered in that time.  Now the North Yorkshire based eatery who have recently been ranked No 1 lockwood choc poton TripAdvisor and voted the Best Restaurant in the North East by The Good Food Guide are seeking help from enthusiastic amateur chefs.

Lockwoods want home cooks and pudding lovers to put their knowledge to the test and either send in their own recipes or post a picture or video of you making your scrumptious chocolate pot on social media.  Entrants will be in with the chance of having their creation on Lockwoods menu under their own name.

The competition will run until Saturday 30th July, after which time the team will choose a list of finalists and invite them to come into Lockwoods for a ‘bake off’.

The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges, and crowned with the coveted Best Chocolate Pot Award, as well as having their recipe on the menu.
