Over the summer, Keelham Farm Shop have undergone one of the biggest refurbishments of their long and proud 40-year history, which saw every area of the farm shop, is revitalised and refreshed!
The Butcher’s shop has more than doubled in size; with even more choice, and some amazing new products, like the new ‘ready to Cook’ range of easy meal solutions. The Yorkshire Deli has also doubled in size and has an amazing array of ready to eat products like Lockwood’s Pies from Halifax and Just Desserts Cakes from Shipley – even a fresh pick & mix Olive Bar with a tasty selection of different olives for you to try.
Throughout the main area of the shop, they’ve installed a fantastic ‘Keelham Kitchen’ area where we’ll be doing regular live sampling and tasting sessions for the customers, where their lovely local suppliers will come in to give free cookery demonstrations and samples. You’ll also notice that they’ve put the local suppliers, quite literally, ‘in the frame’, with local supplier stories all over the shop, telling you about where the food comes from and the lovely local people who produce it.
The Cellar has been made-over with a slick new look and a great selection of wines from all over the world; over 100 regional ales, and of course the nation’s favourite brands for you to choose from. Even The animal area has been revamped! They’ve launched a fantastic new Animal Croft and visitor area, which is completely free and a great way to spend some time with the family.
They’ve kept the rustic farm charm though – we’re still an independent, family run local business and will always stay close and true to the farming roots. We just wanted to make sure that the environment of the shop could match the amazing high standards and quality of the food, and we’re pretty sure you’ll agree the makeover has done just that!
All of the hard work ‘n elbow grease have really paid off, and to celebrate we held an open day on Saturday 8th September. To mark the official launch of the shop, we decided to ‘launch’ hundreds of Keelham biodegradable balloons into the sky, with 100 hidden golden tickets inside for a chance to win a pack of the award-winning home made sausages – so please take a look out and see if any have landed in the garden!
