Mercers Of Yorkshire Get Sticky With The Stars For National Marmalade Week

Not that anybody needs an excuse to enjoy this lip-smacking treat, but to celebrate the first ever National Marmalade Week (25th Feb ““ 3rd Mar) *Mercers of Yorkshire* have decided to treat their favourite TV personalities to their very own personalised jar of marmalade, in the hope that they’ll be as mad about marmalade as Mercer’s of Yorkshire are!

Paul and Lizzie Mercer, owners of Mercers of Yorkshire, have prepared 10 personalised jars of their juicy marmalade for a selection of top TV talent. Celebrity jars include the lovely Loose Women ladies, Denise Welch, Carol McGiffin, Sherrie Hewson, Ruth Langsford, Sally Lindsay and Carol Vorderman, The One Show team, Alex Jones, Matt Baker and Chris Evans, alongside a special ‘Frisky Whisky’ Jar for the nations sweet heart, Lorraine Kelly.

Lizzie said _”The reception of our personalised jars has been great, I’m sure the celebs are delighted with their bespoke marmalades, and it’s given Mercers of Yorkshire a fantastic opportunity to profile the best of Yorkshire produce to the nation.”_

But Mercer’s of Yorkshire’s nationwide success doesn’t stop there, the Wheldrake-based jam and chutney manufacturers have fought off tough competition, to be selected to produce for the eagerly anticipated new food range from the National Federation of Women’s Institutes. Mercers of Yorkshire were named as the only producer in the UK to meet the exacting standards of the NFWI to produce its new range of WI jams, marmalades and chutneys. The range is available from selected delis, visitors’ centres, garden centres and farm shops, with the jams and marmalade additionally being available in Waitrose from March.
