More Shortlist Success for Yorkshire Coast Brewery

An award winning East Yorkshire brewery is celebrating after learning that it has been shortlisted for two prestigious awards.

Hot on the heels of securing a final place in the Sainsbury’s Great British Beer Hunt, Wold Top Brewery’s Scarborough Fair IPA has been shortlisted in the Local Brew category of the Yorkshire Post Taste Awards and will be evaluated at tasting session carried out by several judges on Tuesday 21st August.

Meanwhile, the Wold Newton based business has also reached the final of the York Press Family Business of the Year award. One of only 37 businesses and individuals that were selected from more than 220 entries, the team at the micro brewery will now be visited by judges to decide the winners who will be announced at a glamorous black-tie event at York Racecourse on November 15.

We’re particularly pleased that Scarborough Fair IPA has been shortlisted as it’s the first time that we have brewed an IPA and it’s good to know that it has been well received.”
