North Yorkshire drinks producer Nidhoggr Mead Co. are celebrating after having their products listed in local Morrisons stores.
The York based company who produce a range of delicious, full flavoured, high strength meads will see their range stocked in the supermarkets branches in York Acomb, York Foss Island and Malton.
Nidhoggr Mead Co’s Managing Director Peter Taylor said: “We’re a small team, mainly made up of Viking reenactors who are driven by starting a mead revolution, so being stocked in a major retailer is a really exciting chapter for the business!
“We are the first 100% honey mead to be stocked in a major supermarket and products our are unique in the market as all of the honey we use to create our range is sourced from a single producer in Yorkshire and we only use natural ingredients, so no chemicals or sulphites are added at any stage.”

The listing follows some exciting industry award wins for the drinks firm after taking home a gold medal for their Elderflower Mead in the Mead Madness Cup, Europe’s largest mead competition, along with a Silver for in the Mazer Cup International, the World’s largest mead competition, making it the second best in the world.
