North Yorkshire rapeseed oil business creates lockdown cooking bundles

Inspired by the lockdown ‘homebody’ trend that has seen an increase in home cooking and baking, the team at a North Yorkshire rapeseed oil business has launched a range of themed bundles.

Thixendale based Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil has introduced four bundles to its range of oils, dressings and condiments, including a bread making and baking bundle in collaboration with fellow Yorkshire Wolds farmers, Mike and Kate Stringer from J. Stringer and Sons.

Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil’s Marketing Manager, Jennie Palmer explained the rationale for the launch: “Shows, markets and food festivals are an important source of revenue for artisan businesses like ours, so we have increased our online offering in order to satisfy our customers’ needs and to help secure our post Coronavirus future.

“With the continuing Government advice to stay at home and only shop weekly, we have introduced a way to beat the supermarket queues and provide inspiration for home cooking with all the family, all delivered directly to your door with free delivery.”

In addition to the Bake Bundle that features oil and organic flour, the range* includes a Spring Bundle, featuring products and a recipe card; a Lockdown Bundle with a range of rapeseed oil-based products and a recipe book and an eco-friendly Refill Bundle with a 5-litre container and a 500ml bottle to refill at home. Priced from £25, the bundles are available exclusively online at yorkshirerapeseedoil.co.uk and all include free delivery.

Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil was established in 2008 by Adam and Jennie Palmer on their farm in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds.  They produce a range of oils, dressings and mayonnaise based on their award-winning rapeseed oil that is produced exclusively from home and Yorkshire Wolds grown rape that is pressed, blended, bottled and labelled on the family farm.
