NORTHERN BL°C and English Heritage collaboration serves up a taste of nostalgia

Leeds-based ice cream brand Northern Bl°c, has teamed up with English Heritage to launch two bold, bespoke new flavours, inspired by classic British desserts.

A year in the making and created using a ‘chef’s approach to flavour’, Northern Bl°c and English Heritage’s indulgent new Apple Crumble and Custard and Sticky Toffee Pudding ice creams are now available at 31 English Heritage sites across the country.

Following their debut, the two new flavours will be rolled out across a variety of outlets including airlines and theatres, raising awareness of the charity’s activities, with a portion of proceeds from every purchase going towards supporting their vital work protecting and preserving over 400 historic sites across the country.

Northern Bl°c’s co-founder and director Josh Lee said: “At Northern Bl°c we’re constantly evolving and challenging ice cream norms, and this collaboration is no exception, enabling us to continue our quest to share our game-changing ice cream with the world, whilst supporting a national institution.”

The new creations have been crafted using real, high-quality British ingredients, with a focus on authenticity, provenance and bold flavours. Sticky Toffee Pudding is a dairy, brown sugar-based ice cream, with a thick, indulgent sticky toffee sauce, whilst the Apple Crumble and Custard is a creamy, custard flavoured dairy ice cream with real, British bramley apples and a caramelised biscuit crumb.

Josh continues: “Starting out as an interval treat in theatres, Northern Bl°c has always thrived in out-of-home venues. Eleven years later, we pride ourselves in being a true strategic partner to cultural venues, helping them to create experiences that are genuinely different, add commercial value to their offering and provide a talking point for guests.
