A West Yorkshire based baby food company has been awarded a highly commended for its innovative and fun packaging.
Deliciouslyorkshire members Little Fingers Organic Baby Food are a small start-up company making delicious organic finger food from their base in Huddersfield.
Created out of a desire to produce healthy products for babies, following business owners Marcus and Joanne Wilson’s own experience with their children, the business now sells a range of products with an emphasis on natural, healthy and home-made food.
The packaging development that followed needed to convey these key elements and as the business was then at its launch stage, Sunbranding, the company handed the task to develop it also had to be sensitive of its tight budget.
The resulting product, includes a transparent pouch, so that the organic contents can be seen, along with a small label which the company’s creative team had to deliver both the brands values with energy and personality as well as ensuring there was sufficient space for all the ingredients and legal requirements – no small task!
The result was a fun and engaging design, with vegetable characters to give a personal feel while maintaining the sincerity of its organic content.
The judges at this year’s UK Packaging Awards awards praised the design and felt that the product made a significant contribution to the market commenting that; “The result is a fun design, with vegetable characters, to give a personal feel to the target audience but maintains the sincerity of it being organic. Simple but very clever.”
