The team at a Pickering Farm Shop and Café are to host a charity quiz night next month in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event, which will take place on Friday 22nd May, will include a buffet supper, and local quizmaster and Cedarbarn team member Michael Kipling will host the evening at the Thornton Road venue.
Event organiser, Lauren Turnbull said: “Proceeds from the quiz will be shared between Sabrina Coultas and Danny Hague, who are both taking part in this year’s Ernest Cooper Ride of their Lives for Macmillan Cancer Support.
“Veterinary receptionist, Sabrina and strength and conditioning coach, Danny, have pledged to raise £6,000 and £8,000 respectively the charity, and we’re delighted to be able to help them by hosting one of our popular quiz nights.”
In the last two years, the Cedarbarn team has raised over £43,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, Prostate Cancer UK and local charities, with co-owner Karl Avison taking part in his second Ride of their Lives in 2024.
