Description
Join us at our next networking event at Farmer Copleys in Pontefract. Non-members are welcome to attend this event in order to meet existing DY members, and to find out more about the benefits of being part of the DY community.
Founded back in 2003 by Robert and Heather Copley, after the couple decided to return to the family farm in South Yorkshire with plans to diversify, having previously worked in cattle breeding and agronomy in Dorset. The Copley family has been farming for over 140 years but came to Ravensknowle Farm, where Farmer Copley’s is based, in 1967.
Since that time the business has changed dramatically, becoming an important part of the local community with a thriving farm shop, Moo Café, function space and events centre, and most recently the opening of Copleys Kitchen all created with the aim to showcase the best of British agriculture and get people engaged with the countryside. Rob is also the current Chairman of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society and past Chair of the Farm Retail Association.
Hear from Rob and Heather about their journey, how they support and champion the people and businesses who grow and sell Yorkshire produce and, never ones to rest on their laurels, their plans for the future.
Light refreshments will be provided. Please advise if you have any allergies. Booking is essential.
This event costs £15 per ticket for non-members (free for Deliciously Yorkshire members). Booking is essential as numbers are limited.
