Description
The next Deliciously Yorkshire Breakfast Meeting will take place on the morning of Wednesday 4th June 2025 at The Pavilions, Great Yorkshire Events Centre, Harrogate.
The theme for this event is ‘Export’ and as with previous breakfast meetings you can expect informative presentations, inspirational speakers, expert panel discussions, the opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new connections (and a great bacon butty of course!) all in a relaxed environment.
Keynote speakers and industry experts announced so far include:
Kate Balchin – Wold Top Brewery
Wold Top was founded in 2003 as a diversification project to help support and sustain the Mellor family farm on the Yorkshire Coast. As long time growers of malting barley it seemed an obvious (and fun) transition and the ideal way of securing demand for the farm’s output. Over the last 20+ years our passion for homegrown, sustainably sourced and regeneratively produced ingredients has seen us become a recognised player in the regional beer industry and beyond. On trade and off trade, wholesale and direct sales have led to the ability to expand further afield with export to international markets flourishing.
Tom Richardson – Warrendale Wagyu
Warrendale Wagyu was established in 2017 by a Yorkshire farming family, with the vision to produce consistently high-quality British Wagyu beef. We set out to produce the best tasting beef in the UK through farming sustainably, prioritising animal welfare and partnering with some of Britain’s best farmers by working in harmony with the UK climate and geography. Warrendale Wagyu cattle are produced in a grass based, slow growing system using fullblood Wagyu genetics crossed with dairy breeds such as Holstein to produce a Wagyu Cross, known as an F1 Wagyu. We are now processing over 300 cattle per week, which we supply into retail, wholesale, foodservice and direct to consumer and have recently started exporting to Europe and Asia.
Matthew Hattersley – Clarion
Matthew heads up Clarion’s commercial team, covering commercial contracts, data protection and supply chain management and compliance. Matthew advises clients on the variety of routes to distribute and sell products in the UK and overseas. Clarion tailor their service to your specific needs, by becoming an integral part of your business – working with you, as well as for you.
Stephen Noblett – Department for Business & Trade
As an international Trade Adviser for the Department for Business and Trade in Yorkshire and the Humber, Stephen Noblett has many years of experience working with businesses of all sizes, helping them to scale up and realise opportunities in markets around the world. Stephen is able to offer companies impartial advice and also recommend DBT services, many of which are free of charge.
There will also be an update from the DY team, and ample opportunity to meet and network with other members of the DY community.
We look forward to welcoming you!
