Put your best foot forward in support of Wakefield Hospice on Sunday 30th September at their annual Sponsored Walks event.

5, 10 and 15 mile routes to choose from, starting and finishing at *Blacker Hall Farm Shop*. The walks are a great opportunity to remember loved ones, see some beautiful countryside and raise much needed funds for the Hospice. These are countryside walks so are not suitable for pushchairs. There will also be a number of stiles on each route.

The routes start and finish at the award winning Blacker Hall Farm shop, but walkers on the 5 mile route will be ‘ferried’ to the starting point nearby at no extra charge.

Sponsorship
Your entry fee only covers the cost of running the event. To ensure Wakefield Hospice benefits from organising the Walks, we ask each participant to raise what they can in sponsorship and in this, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee year, set the challenge for you to raise £60 sponsorship?

You CAN make the difference
Raising £60 would pay for one patient to receive 3 hours of nursing care!

By obtaining gift aid on your sponsorship, this would pay for 2 bereavement counselling sessions.

If every single person who entered the walks last year was able to raise £60, this would pay for nearly 33 days of nursing care and if they were to gift aid that, would pay for 39½ days of nursing care at no extra cost!

Grateful thanks once again to the generous event sponsors, Calvesten Ltd for their continued support, who have very kindly pledged to donate an additional £10 for every person taking part over 200 walkers, so please bring your friends along!!.and theirs!

Walking to Remember
Those walking to remember someone will receive a memory bib, on which there is space to write a tribute and/or attach a picture of that person. You can then pin this to your outer layers, showing others who you are walking for.
