Remarkable Driffield poultry business shortlisted for tourism award


The team at a Middleton on the Wolds poultry business are celebrating after reaching the finals of the prestigious Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards (REYTAs).

Soanes Poultry has reached the shortlist in the Remarkable Taste of East Yorkshire category of the tenth annual awards that celebrate Hull and East Yorkshire’s tourism and associated industries.

Run by Visit Hull and East Yorkshire, the REYTAS recognise the best and brightest in the area’s tourism related businesses and acknowledge the contribution they make to the area’s visitor economy.

Soanes Poultry is one of six finalists in the category that also includes customers Vanessa Delicatessen & Café and Drewton’s. The category is sponsored by the East Yorkshire Local Food Network and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Bonus Arena on Thursday, 14th March.

A family owned business that has been rearing and preparing chicken for 72 years, Soanes supplies butchers and independent retailers in Yorkshire and wholesalers nationwide.
