Say hello to the new faces on the deliciouslyorkshire board…

Sarah Puckett of Puckett’s Pickles and Adam Palmer of Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil join the 6 other members of the deliciouslyorkshire board who represents a cross section of Yorkshire’s food and drink businesses.

The new additions will no doubt have a young and vibrant influence on the organisation and will be heavily involved with both deliciouslyorkshire’s communications and events programme.

Having worked in the food and drink industry for 15 years with Pret A Manger Sarah Puckett took a change of direction just over a year ago when she decided the leave Pret A Manger and focus fulltime on making her range of unique pickles and chutneys.
Sarah said:
“As a fairly new “cottage industry”, I understand the difficulties small producers can be faced with and I feel deliciouslyorkshire has an extremely important role in helping Yorkshire food and drink businesses, like mine, grow and flourish.”

Adam Palmer founded Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil with his wife Jennie in 2008 and the company became members of deliciouslyorkshire shortly after. As well as producing cold pressed the rapeseed oil Adam and his team have gradually developed their product range to include flavoured oils, dressings, marinades and mayonnaise.

Adam said:
“It’s great to become a member of the deliciouslyorkshire board. A huge part of my business at Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil involves attending shows, food festivals, and markets in Yorkshire and beyond, so I’m looking forward to representing the Yorkshire food and drink producers who are regular event goers. And making sure deliciouslyorkshire are attending all the best shows as well as offering great value for money.”

This month deliciouslyorkshire also welcomes a new chair of the board in the form of Nick Stafford, Managing Director of Hambleton Ales.
Longstanding deliciouslyorkshire board member Nick brings a wealth of industry experience to the role of chair.
Mr Stafford said:
“Having been involved with deliciouslyorkshire for several years now, I am very pleased to step into the role of chair.
