Scrubbys Vegetable Crisps to be stocked in Waitrose Stores

Scrubbys Vegetable Crisps based in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire is celebrating the news that their vegetable crisp brand, Scrubbys, will be available in 275 Waitrose stores from the 4th August.

The fledgling firm has both of its flavour creations listed by the company, putting it alongside industry giants Kettles and Tyrells.

The 40g bags are to be sold at £1.25 and will be listed in the Free From section. Jo Heywood, Waitrose Buyer commented “The Scrubbys brand and products are a perfect fit for my category, they taste great, but are also gluten free and lower fat”.

Claire and John Brumby are the founders, and believe this new listing will be a game-changer for the brand. Coming so recently after their Ocado launch, and with some eye-catching London stockists in Harrods, Fortnum and Mason, As Nature Intended, Partridges and Planet Organic joining farm shops and delis up and down the country, enthusiasm for the recognised “Cool Brand” and Great Taste Award winner keeps growing.

Claire Brumby said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be listed in Waitrose, we have big future plans and ambitions for continued growth, and this can only assist in our vision of building the SCRUBBYS brand and adding value to the healthier snacking category, we aim to increase our market share and become the leading brand in vegetable and fruit snacking in the UK”
