Side Oven Heritage Apple Festival &Bakery Open Day

Side Oven Bakery based on the edge on the Wolds in East Yorkshire are opening their doors for their annual Heritage Apple Festival & Bakery Open Day tomorrow.

The family friendly event takes place on the family farm in Foston on the Wolds on Sunday 14th October between 10am – 3pm and will include guided walks round the organic orchard and farm, apple pressing, allowing visitors to press and take their own apple juice home and huge display of all the heritage varieties of apples grown in the organic orchard along with information about each variety.

The award winning bakery will also be open with a vast array of freshly baked organicspeciality breads, seasonal sweetbuns, croissant and cakes available throughout the day along with hot and cold refreshments.

Walks will start at 10:30am and 1:30pm and will last approximately 1.5 hours.  The ground may be muddy underfoot so suitable footwear is advised and well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
