Slingsby launched new Blackberry Gin

A Harrogate gin producer have launched a new seasonal flavour just in time for the start of autumn.

Slingsby Gin’s new Blackberry Gin has been released to coincide with the traditional blackberry picking season and has been designed encompass an array of autumnal flavours.

The new gin follows the success of Slingsby’s other flavoured gins in their award-winning range including Rhubarb, Gooseberry and Marmalade and was born out of the huge boom in home bar enthusiasts and budding amateur mixologists over the last 18 months.

Marcus Black, Co-Founder of Slingsby Gin said: “As the UK continues to embrace flavoured gins, we are so excited to be launching this new flavour. We pride ourselves on launching flavours we know our loyal fanbase will love, and just like our previous Rhubarb, Gooseberry and Marmalade flavours, we think Blackberry will be a huge hit!

“We’re extremely proud to be able to keep our Yorkshire roots at the heart of everything we do and our locally sourced ingredients are something we know our consumers love, and since we’re known for our experimental flavours too, what better way to celebrate our sixth year as a brand than with the launch of a new flavour!

“The new release is perfect for those trying their hand at mixing and muddling their own cocktails at home. With floral hints of violet, followed by notes of rich blackberry jam and a beautifully sweet finish, it makes for the ideal base for a delicious Blackberry Sour, a light and fruity Elderflower and Blackberry Fizz and the perfect Blackberry Negroni – just in time for Negroni Week next month!”

Crafted using locally sourced botanicals, many of which are foraged from the grounds of nearby Rudding Park, the carefully selected ingredients are paired with the towns water drawn from the world-renowned Harrogate aquifer which is known for its restorative properties.

The new gin’s release also coincides with Slingsby’s newly launched pop-up at Harvey Nichols in Leeds which will be running throughout September.

The pop-up bar can be found next to the main entrance of the prestigious store and visitors will be able to enjoy a Slingsby Gin Rhubarb G&T or a Briggate Fizz cocktail, named after the popular Leeds shopping street.

The new Blackberry flavour is available to buy in 70cl bottles and as part of the convenient Slingsby Solo range of pre-mixed G&T cans and is exclusively available in-store and online from Tesco and from the Spirit of Harrogate store.
