In line with their strong green credentials, the company’s popular liqueur range, which includes their much-loved and multi award-winning Sloe Gin, will now be sold in locally produced, eco-friendly bottles with the same hedgerow botanicals sketch designed bottles as their Hedgerow Spirits range.
The new bottles are made less than 40 miles from the distillery and are lighter in weight meaning that less energy and fewer resources are consumed in their production and crucially, in the subsequent transport through the life of the bottle.
Founder of Sloemotion Distillery Joff Curtoys said: “The business came from the result of an environmental project to help wildlife, so protection of the planet is in our DNA.
“Finding ways to minimise our carbon footprint and enhance our sustainability is always part of our planning processes and daily routines and we hope our customers love the new bottle designs as much as we do”
Founded more than 20 years ago by Joff, who previously worked in ecology and conservation, the brand has its roots planted firmly in the Yorkshire countryside whose hedgerows provide not only ingredients including rosehips, crab apples and sloes, but also inspiration for new and exciting products. In line with their ‘life on the hedge’ philosophy the team have gone on to expand their range, collecting a raft of national and international industry awards, including 18 Great Taste gold stars along the way.
The new look Sloe Gin will be available from the end of September and will be joined by their Damson Gin and Sloe Ruby later in October with Cherry Brandy and Bramble Whisky to follow shortly after.
Sloemotion Distillery products are available at over 350 farm shops and high end independent retailers throughout the country including Booths, Liberty London, Berry Brothers & Rudd and The Wine Society & Masters of Malt.
