A Yorkshire Wolds poultry company is celebrating after passing its BRCGS audit with flying colours.
During a recent audit, the team at Middleton on the Wolds business, Soanes Poultry retained its AA grade status against Issue 9 of the BRCGS certification programme, which is globally recognised as a benchmark for food safety management systems and best practice for product safety and quality.
Soanes Poultry’s Head of Technical, Diana May, said: “Congratulations to the team for their part in the successful AA grade. This result was achieved due to everyone’s hard work and our constant year-on-year improvements, which means our customers can have complete confidence in all our products.
“As our business continues to grow, BRCGS is a vital accreditation for underlining our reliability to potential customers and demonstrates that we are achieving the highest standards of safety, quality and legal compliance.”
Founded by Tom Soanes in 1947, Soanes Poultry’s award-winning, Yorkshire-reared chicken is available from butchers and independent retailers throughout Yorkshire and sold through wholesalers and catering butchers nationwide.
