Harrogate based artisan coffee producer Source Climate Change are celebrating after expanding their listing with a high-end retailer in London
Planet Organic, who have 9 stores in the capital and are the UK’s first organic and sustainable supermarket, have stocked a limited range of the North Yorkshire businesses products since 2017. The new expanded listing with now see their full range of coffee beans, roast and ground coffee, home compostable coffee capsules in five flavours available to customers.
Committed to providing communities with organic, natural, and sustainable products, Planet Organic’s ethos aligns with Source Climate Change Coffee, a conservation led company, founded by Cristina Talens, a former Ethical Trading Manager at Bettys & Taylors of Harrogate. The team now work with small-scale farming communities across the world, including those in Nicaragua, Tanzania and Uganda amongst others.
Christina explains: “Seeing the struggles of these communities as a result of climate change inspired me to create a brand that not only delivers exceptional coffee but also supports sustainable farming practices and reforestation efforts.”
The new products will be available to sample and buy in stores from July, and Cristina will be sampling the range and talking to customers about climate change, rainforests and the coffee communities which are doing their bit for the planet.
