*Morrison’s supermarkets* and increased their awareness and demand for *deliciouslyorkshire* produce by approaching DY for their support to gain more local supplier listing in store.
Last month Deliciouslyorkshire held a bespoke Morrison’s Meet the Buyer event for a select number of South Yorkshire based members based on Morrison’s hightened interest in local food. The increased demand for local produce has led to deliciouslyorkshire’s assistance in helping to source products to implement within an iconic ‘South Yorkshire ‘ supplier section into 4 of their busy South Yorkshire stores. Deliciouslyorkshire selected six South Yorkshire based members based on criteria set by the supermarket giant to put forward for one to one meetings with the supermarkets local buyers.
The feedback from the supermarket chain was that the suppliers were of an outstanding standard. Some of the products have been deselected and are now under review for potential supply in the coming months. In depth discussions are currently underway with suppliers to discuss logistics, commercials and packaging. Deliciouslyorkshire will be on hand to help every step of the way.
