Strid Wood Tea Room, nestled within the Bolton Abbey Estate in the Yorkshire Dales, is set to host a series of relaxed outdoor BBQ evenings this summer, inspired by the traditional South American Asado feast.
Taking place on 7th August and 4th September, the monthly events will be held in a woodland clearing beside the café, offering a unique al fresco dining experience. Each feast will be cooked over oak embers, with a focus on locally reared Yorkshire meats including Herdwick lamb, Yorkshire beef picanha, coal-roasted chicken and smoked sausages.
The BBQ will be complemented by a selection of seasonal sides and desserts showcasing produce from the Estate’s kitchen gardens. Dishes include ember-roasted heritage carrots, and Yorkshire strawberries served with honeycomb, mascarpone and an oat crumb, alongside coal-roasted peaches with vanilla ice cream and toasted almonds.
Designed as a relaxed way to enjoy the outdoors beneath a stretch canvas, the evenings begin at 4.30pm with drinks, followed by the lighting of the BBQ at 5.30pm. Food will be served from 6pm.
Spaces are limited to 50 cars, and tickets are priced between £15 and £25 per person.
