The Northern Food and Drink Virtual Festival

The weekend sees the start of a virtual food and drink festival in a bid to connect the public with artisan food and drink businesses in the region.

The Northern Food and Drink Virtual Festival is a brand new event to support and showcase Northern producers, distributors and some of the great Chefs within the area during the current crisis.

The brainchild of Sean Noonan, Head Chef at the Wellbeing Farm Wedding and Events Venue, Jacky Moss from Creative Agenda and Craig Sherrington, National Finalist in the 2018 Great British Menu, the show will run entirely virtually on Sunday 24th and Monday 25th May through their dedicated Facebook page.

The online event will feature ‘live’ demonstrations from some of the Top Chefs in the Industry including former Great British Menu and Masterchef contestants, talented catering students and some really exceptional home cooks too!

The event will also feature talks and master classes from leading industry professionals and will operate through virtual online ‘tents’ with a wide selection of suppliers showcasing their delicious products and feature special show offers just like a normal food festival.

The team will also be supporting their nominated charity Hospitality Action and, whilst there is obviously no charge for virtual admission, the team would welcome a small donation to help facilitate the great work that they do.

More information on the event can be found on the Northern Food & Drink Virtual Festival Facebook page and on their website www.northernfoodfest.co.uk
