Top Marks from the AA for the Dev

A Dales based luxury hotel and restaurant have been recognised with the highest possible grading by the prestigious AA Guide inspectors.

The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa at Bolton Abbey achieved the outstanding report from The AA Guide inspectors with both the hotel and new Head Chef of The Burlington Restaurant, Paul Evans, receiving excellent marks and feedback.  The hotel itself also achieved its highest score to date.

Paul Evans, in his first Head Chef role at the ‘Burlington Restaurant’ achieved 3 AA rosettes, the highest possible grading he could have been awarded in his first Head Chef role.  This grading puts the hotel restaurant within the top 10% of all restaurants in the UK which have been graded by the AA’s rosette scheme.

Paul, who joined the team in July said: “The 3 AA rosette rating is a real accolade and it’s good to be recognised by The AA in this way.  It reflects the work of the whole kitchen team and it’s been so good for me to of had excellent support in place from the whole team from the word go.”

General Manager, Adam Dyke commented, We are delighted to round off an outstanding year by retaining our 4 red stars and achieving our highest ever AA merit score. For the Burlington team to be awarded 3 AA Rosettes is the icing on the cake and particularly impressive as Paul has only been in the business for 4 months. We are now very excited to see what 2017 will bring”.
