‘Tree Talk’. How the Man from Bettys became a Benevolent Banker Hotel du Vin, Harrogate, HG1 1LB, Friday 23 March, 12 noon

I would be delighted if you could join me and the Cicada team at the Hotel du Vin on Friday 23 March for Cicada’s spring lunch. This is the first of our 25th year anniversary celebrations.

Our special guest will be the former Chairman and Chief Executive of Bettys & Taylors Group, Jonathan Wild who will talk about his new role as Chairman of The United Bank of Carbon.

Jonathan has grown his family business from a turnover of £1m to £100m and has created its worldwide reputation for being an iconic Yorkshire tea and teashop business. He has lead his company’s ‘Trees for Life’ campaign for the past 20 years and more recently has founded the ‘Yorkshire Rainforest Project’ whose aim is to save an area of rainforest the size of Yorkshire.

Aperitifs will be served from 12 noon followed by a seated two course lunch, inclusive of a glass of wine and coffee, at 12.30pm.

There are a limited number of tickets available so please RSVP as soon as possible to Annabel Hutchison at Cicada on annabel@cicada-comms.com to reserve tickets priced £30 each, payable in advance to Cicada Communications by 9 March 2012. Please advise of any special dietary requirements when booking.

Please note that a percentage of the cost of each ticket will be donated to a special rainforest project.

We do hope that you can join us.

Kind regards,

Di Burton FCIPR FCIPD
