The team at the Devonshire Arms at Bolton Abbey have created a romantically-inspired Duchess’s Choice recipe box ahead of Valentine’s Day next month.
Head Chef, Ross Forder’s latest offering includes an easy to prepare three course feast along with all of the ingredients needed and simple to follow instructions to make staying in on the most romantic night of the year a pleasure.
The restaurant style dishes feature a range of fresh and locally sourced Yorkshire produce and include crab & beetroot tian with pink grapefruit & walnut bread, followed by pepper-crusted chateaubriand, fondant potato, braised red cabbage, roasted roots & red wine jus. The Valentines menu concludes with a Black Forest gateau for pudding featuring a delicious chocolate sponge, chocolate cremeux, vanilla mascarpone, cherry syrup & chocolate crumb.
To add to the occasion the team are also offering a number of optional extras to each order including cured salmon blinis, brownie love bites, a bottle of Laurent Perrier Rosé Champagne or home-made shortbread hearts and chocolate fudge.
For those not partaking in Valentine’ Day this year however, the award winning teams regular cook-at-home recipe boxes with each recipe personally approved by The Duchess of Devonshire, are also available to order online and now include a number of new vegan options too.
The traditional dishes feature house-cured salmon, heritage potato salad, pickled red onion & citrus dressing; followed by roasted sirloin of beef, duck fat potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, cauliflower cheese, seasonal vegetables & red wine jus and for dessert, a dark chocolate fondant, with toffee sauce and caramelised pecans. The traditional dishes can be mixed and matched with the meat free options so you can truly tailor your box to your taste.
The recipe boxes are priced at £60 (Valentine’s Day menu £110) and are available for Friday delivery each week. Each insulated box will arrive chilled, ready to be placed in the refrigerator and contain all the ingredients and instructions to make a truly memorable dinner in the comfort of your own home.
