Yorkshire Wolds brewery celebrates anniversary with a special beer
The brewing team at an East Yorkshire brewery have developed a new beer in celebration of its 15th anniversary.
Having brewed over 25 million pints over the last 15 years, Wold Newton based Wold Top Brewery will launch a limited edition cask beer named ‘15′ to coincide with the anniversary next month.
Brewed using home grown barley, Bramling Cross and First Gold hops and Pale Ale, Cara and Wheat malts, 15, 4% ABV, is a golden beer with subtle spiced notes and hints of citrus and hedgerow fruits.
Kate Balchin, the brewery’s Accounts and Export Manager said: “We can’t wait to celebrate our 15th anniversary with a new beer.
“As a cask beer, it will be available exclusively to pubs and restaurants, but we will have it on our own bar for the brewery and gardens open weekend on the 2nd and 3rd June and the wedding open evening on 4th June.
“2018 is a very exciting year for us at Hunmanby Grange as, not only is the brewery celebrating 15 years in business, but our weddings and events business, Muddy Souls Events is five years old and it’s the 24th year that the garden has been open for the National Gardens Scheme.”
The brewery was founded by in 2003 and is located on the Mellor family farm at Hunmanby Grange. The team at Wold Top brew 26,000 litres of beer a week in a bespoke brew plant and use home grown barley and water from the farm’s borehole to create award-winning beers.
