Yorkshire Businesses Launch 2022 Eat Yorkshire Campaign

A group of food and drink producers across the county have come together to launch ‘Eat Yorkshire’ a month-long initiative to connect local businesses for the benefit of their customers.

Founded by the team at Thixendale based family farming business Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil, this year’s campaign follows the success of the event’s launch in 2021 and will see selected artisan producers throughout the region offering customers a 10% discount on their products throughout the month of March.

Eat Yorkshire founder Jennie Palmer said: “We were really pleased with the reaction from both participating businesses and the public alike to our first Eat Yorkshire initiative launched last year, with our aim to give something back to our loyal customers.

“This year’s campaign has grown to include more fantastic local producers from around the area offering customers more choice and hopefully introducing them to some new businesses and their products.”

This year’s campaign includes 17 Yorkshire businesses including Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil, Staal Smokehouse, Side Oven Bakery, Soanes Poultry, The Chilli Jam Man, Wold Top Brewery, Sloemotion Distillery, Anna’s Happy Trotters, The Yummy Yank, Raisthorpe Manor, Lottie Shaw’s, Puckett’s Pickles, Yorkshire Wolds Apple Juice, The Yorkshire Pasta Co., Warrendale Wagyu, The Yorkshire Pudding Pie Co. and Yorkshire Tonics.

Running throughout the whole month of March, customers will need to log onto a landing page hosted on the Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil website, where they can find links to each of the participating businesses, their range of products and take advantage of the discount on ofer.

One of the new businesses involved in this year’s Eat Yorkshire campaign is Driffield based Soanes Poultry, whose Director of Sales and Marketing, Ben Lee said: “This year we are celebrating 75 years of rearing chicken in the Yorkshire Wolds, so we’re delighted to be taking part in this initiative and giving customers 10% off our Great Taste award-winning, Higher Welfare chicken.”
