Award-winning cheesemakers Yorkshire Dama Cheese are set to hold their first cheesemaking workshop this month.
Hosted by founder Razan Alsous, the event will be a fun, hands-on day with participants learning to make two fresh cheeses: squeaky-soft halloumi and creamy ricotta.
Learning the secrets behind crafting halloumi’s iconic bouncy texture and satisfying squeak before pan-frying to perfection, participants will then turn their hand to creating fluffy, creamy ricotta from whey using all traditional methods, and topping the finished product with honey, before enjoying a cheese feast with fellow cheesemakers!
Perfect for food lovers, or anyone curious about cheese science, this workshop is equal parts educational and delicious and will result in handmade cheeses to take home.
The event costs £20 per person and will be held at Darley Street Market on 18th December.
