A Thixendale based family farming business have expanded their award winning range of products with the launch of a new mayonnaise.
Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil’s new Tartare Sauce is made from their own home grown rapeseed oil, which was recently awarded two stars at the Great Taste Awards, and combined with gherkins, pickled onions and capers.
The latest addition to the 24 strong range of products was developed by Product Development Manager Jason Thompson who said: “2020 has been a very challenging year for small businesses like ours and the temptation might have been not to invest in new products, but to wait and see how things develop.
“We decided to forge ahead with our new product development programme however to give our customers something new, different and delicious and early signs are that they’re not disappointed! It is the perfect accompaniment to take any fish or seafood dish up a notch! Try it alongside fish and chips, scampi and calamari.”
Established in 2008 by husband and wife team Adam and Jennie Palmer, the Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil team produce their range of award winning oils, dressings and mayonnaises using rapeseed oil grown exclusively in the Yorkshire Wolds which is then pressed, blended, bottled and labelled on the family farm.
As well as the new product launch the team have also added a corporate gifting service to their business in response to the Covid-19 induced ‘Shop Local’ trend after seeing a significant upturn in online sales during lockdown as consumers try to support small, family run businesses.
