Yummy Yorkshire relaunch Market on the Farm Events

The team at Yummy Yorkshire are set to relaunch their popular Market on the Farm events this month after the easing of the lockdown restrictions.

The family run artisan ice cream producers based at Denby Dale near Huddersfield, have spent Lockdown three extending their barn space so that their events programme, which includes the regular markets, could be relaunched to the public as soon as restrictions allowed this spring.

The first event, which will take place on Sunday 18th April will see a number of local traders return to the farm along with the public.

Owner Louise Holmes, who runs Yummy Yorkshire with husband Jeremy said: “We’re beyond excited to throw open the doors to our newly extended barn which will be home to a fantastic array of local makers, producers and crafters.

“During 2021 we’ll welcome back many of our regular traders as well as lots of new ones and we can’t wait for everyone to meet them!  Our Christmas market really highlighted a shift in people’s shopping habits and the events not only offer members of the public the opportunity to shop locally but also in an open, airy space whilst adhering to all government guidelines in relation to Covid.”

Yummy Yorkshire was founded in 2007 after Louise and Jeremy began making ice cream from the surplus cream on their family run dairy farm.  Fast forward several years and the team now produce a range of award winning artisan ice creams, as well as a running an ice cream parlour, restaurant and events space.

Louise continues: “We pride ourselves on continually developing and curating the markets so that they offers a really wide variety of local producers.  We like to think that they offer a one stop, safe and interesting shopping experience and we’re always looking to add more food and drink producers to our line up, so any local companies would be welcome to get in touch and get involved.”

As well as the market, The Udder Parlour will be open to the public selling their range of ice creams and the team will also be offering pre-order and collect food from the Hide & Hoof restaurant at the first market.

The Market on the Farm events will run regularly throughout the rest of the year until November, with the spring dates including 2nd, 16th and 30th May. For more information on upcoming dates along with a list of producers visit www.yummyyorkshire.co.uk
