Casa Espresso launch new compostable coffee pods

A family run, specialty coffee roaster based in West Yorkshire, have launched a new range of compostable coffee pods into their popular range.

Bradford based Casa Espresso will now offer Nespresso® Home Compostable Specialty Coffee Pods which will allow customers to create delicious coffee using their pod machines at home.

Launched in response to a growing customer demand for speciality coffee in recyclable packaging, the new range will be available in Charlestown Blend, Colombia Volcano and Colombia Decaf in packs of of 10 VegeCap capsules which are 100% organic and sustainably sourced. In comparison to standard aluminium versions, they reduce carbon and energy costs in the manufacturing process substantially.

Founded in 2000 Casa Espresso has grown to become one of the most respected independently owned coffee roasting companies in Yorkshire.

Director Nino Di Rienzo said: “Over the years capsules have become more and more accessible with specialty roasters showcasing coffees from all origins and we’re happy to now be a part of the wave.

“The main thing for us is not only making specialty coffee more accessible but delivering a quality product.  We’ve tried and tested 3 of our core range of coffees and after a long process we’re over the moon with the results and excited to introduce them to our line-up.”

“On top of investing in a quality product, we’re also conscious of the environmental impact and that’s why we’ve chosen to use the VegeCap 100% home compostable capsules, which wholly degrade within 6 months.”
