Delicious Yorkshire, the Regional Food Group for Yorkshire and the Humber have officially launched their 2026 Taste Awards.
The annual celebration of the region’s thriving food and drink industry are celebrating their 22nd year and have grown to become the biggest of their type in the North of England, attracting hundreds of entries from businesses of all shapes and sizes.
Welcoming back Booths as Headline Sponsors, the team have added an exciting new category to this year’s line-up with the inaugural Best Yorkshire Pub award, sponsored by The Yorkshire Beer & Pub Association.
The new category will look to shine a light on Yorkshire’s fantastic hospitality sector and uncover hidden gems throughout the region that deserve recognition.
The new category will join the 24 other delicious awards which cover the spectrum of food and drink in the county from Best Pork Pie, Bakery and Beer, to New Business and Best Sustainable Product amongst others.
Entries will be judged by a panel of esteemed industry experts including chefs, food writers, critics and buyers at the beginning of September, who will carefully work their way through each category, before unveiling the 2026 shortlist soon after.
This year’s coveted Taste Awards Champions will then be announced at a glittering black-tie awards ceremony at the Pavilions of Harrogate on Tuesday 3rd November.
David Whittle, Chair of Deliciously Yorkshire said: “The Awards are a great opportunity for the region’s businesses to shine a light on their hard work, tenacity and innovation, as well as get invaluable feedback from the experts. If you’re thinking about getting involved this year, we’d urge you to give it a go!”
Entries are open online until 5pm on Friday 31st July 2026.
