Deliciouslyorkshire are giving local food and drink businesses an extra push in the run up to Christmas with an online advent calendar run through the social media site, Twitter.
For 24 days in December deliciouslyorkshire will be revealing a different foodie prize each day which fans have the chance to win simply by following @local_food and “retweeting” the competition.
Jo Satariano, Marketing, media and Membership Manager at Deliciouslyorkshire said
“Deliciouslyorkshire wouldn’t be doing our job if we didn’t do our best to make sure our followers cupboards are full of Yorkshire’s finest food and drink over the festive season… So with that in mind, we’ve giving our Twitter followers the chance to win a different foodie treat every day up until Christmas eve.
Christmas is such a fantastic time for food and drink and we hope our #deliciousxmas competition is going to give our consumer followers some inspiration for Christmas gifts, promote Yorkshire food and drink and secure our members some extra sales during the festive season.”
The competition which has already included stuffing from Gordon Rhodes and a Charity Cook Book produced by Selby College will be giving away everything from the Christmas Turkey to luxury dining experiences.
