Wagons Roll: Delivering Yorkshire’s Finest

A Yorkshire based potato company are investing in a fleet of new vehicles to deliver their fresh local produce to an even wider market.

Launched in 2014, Deliciouslyorkshire Produce, a partnership between Tadcaster based potato firm Ibbotsons and the regional food group Deliciouslyorkshire, grow, pack and distribute high quality, fresh and locally grown produce throughout the region.

Working closely with their Red Tractor certified growers based around the county, lines and varieties are selected for their suitability to the Yorkshire climate, before being packed at the centrally located, carbon neutral pack house based at Colton.

Agricultural Director James Hopwood said: “Deliciouslyorkshire Produce is a mark of provenance and quality and we are proud of our association with the regional food group and of the standard of our products.  We work closely with our Yorkshire growers to produce the highest quality potatoes meaning the consumer can be confident when buying.”

The new lorry is the first in a planned expansion of the fleet of vehicles to transport the high quality produce to farm shops and supermarkets throughout the region and beyond.

Andy Hudson, Transport Manager said: “We think the new vehicle looks great! The striking black and green design should make the wagon really stand and shout about our fantastic products while it’s traveling around the county.”

To celebrate the new arrival and growth of the fleet, Deliciouslyorkshire Produce will be running a host of competitions through their website to win a variety of products.  Visit their website www.delicioulsyorkshireproduce.co.uk to find out more.
