Double award win for Drewton’s Farm Shop

Drewton’s Farm Shop are celebrating after winning two coveted regional awards.

The East Yorkshire based business won the ‘Remarkable Cuppa’ category for the quality of their food and drink offering in their tearoom and restaurant at the Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards (REYTAs) at a ceremony earlier this month.

The following day, Drewton’s, which also comprises holiday cottages, The Manor Rooms wedding and events venue and popular seasonal attractions, including Freddie’s Pumpkin Patch, was named Agri Business of the Year at the Yorkshire and Humberside Family Business Awards, which celebrate the success and accomplishments of family-owned businesses throughout the region.

The awards were presented by food writer, broadcaster, and proud northerner Nigel Barden, along with co-founders of the Family Business Community, Dave Clarkson and Sue Howorth.

Katie Taylor (MBE), who owns and runs Drewton’s Farm Shop, said: “It was absolutely sensational to go to these two awards ceremonies, held just a day apart, and come away with a major award at each.

“To win the Agri Business of the Year Award was very special because The Drewton Estate, where we’re based, remains a working arable farming estate. My son, Freddie, is also very much a part of the business these days, having developed and launched his own hugely successful annual pumpkin patch event, as well as taking responsibility for our marketing activity. I founded our family business in 2010 and it’s wonderful to see the next generation now playing an important role in its continuing growth and success.”
