Driffield brewery shortlisted for tourism award

The team at a Wold Newton brewery is celebrating after reaching the finals of the prestigious Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards (REYTAs). 

Wold Top Brewery has reached the shortlist in the Local Producer category in the awards which celebrate Hull and East Yorkshire’s tourism and associated industries.

Run by Visit Hull and East Yorkshire, the REYTAS are now in their 11th year and recognise the best and brightest in the area’s tourism related businesses and acknowledge the contribution they make to the area’s visitor economy.

Wold Top is one of six finalists in the category that also includes Soanes Poultry, Hotham’s Distillery and Cherry View Milk. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at Bridlington Spa on Thursday, 19th March.

Of the shortlist, the brewery’s Director for Exports and Business Development, Kate Balchin said: “We’re very pleased to have reached the final of these prestigious awards and are looking forward to the dinner next month.”

Farm-based Wold Top Brewery brews cask, keg and bottled ales from home and Wolds grown malting barley, hops and pure, chalk-filtered Yorkshire Wolds water. Its bottled beer is available through the Wold Top website, independent and multiple retailers, farm shops, delis, hotels, pubs and off licences nationwide.
