The team at an East Yorkshire poultry business is celebrating after reaching the final of two regional business awards.
Middleton on the Wolds business, Soanes Poultry has been shortlisted in both the Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards (REYTAs) and the York Press Business Awards.
The team have reached the final in the Remarkable Producer category of the REYTAs and the Large Business category of the York Press Business Awards 2023.
Soanes Poultry was founded by Tom Soanes and has been rearing and preparing chicken since 1947. It sells its Yorkshire-reared chicken to butchers and independent retailers throughout Yorkshire and to wholesalers and catering butchers nationwide.
Soanes Poultry’s MD, Ben Lee said: “We’re proud of our roots in rural East Yorkshire and the contribution we make to the local economy, so we’re very pleased that our achievements have been recognised with places in the final of both of these prestigious awards.”
