Enjoy a ‘Digital Day Out’ at Wensleydale Creamery

Wensleydale Creamery have launched their new Digital Days Out in time for the Easter Holidays.

The new resource allows you to take a journey through the art of cheese-making at the Creamery in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales from the comfort of your own home during the current lockdown period.


The world-famous, award-winning dairy will give digital visitors a fascinating insight into the thousand-year history of traditional cheese-making in the area with cheese and butter making demonstrations, digital cheese tastings and pairings and cheese-making video clips. 

As well as tours and videos, the website will also include daily updates and a number of activities for children, recipes to try and digital quizzes.

Producing approximately 4000 tonnes of cheese annually, the Creamery’s visitors centre is one of the top tourist destinations in the region providing many jobs to the area and contributing £12m to the local economy annually.  With the closure of its visitors centre due to the current government restrictions, the Digital Days Out allow would-be visitors to pay a virtual visit and wet their appetite for when the centre open again in the future
