Fodder launch Fridays Breakfast Club

Harrogate based farm shop Fodder are to undertake their biggest refurbishment since opening their doors back in 2009.

With plans to refresh both the shop and café, the project will enable them to stock and serve even more Yorkshire products.

Whilst the exciting work takes place over the coming weeks, the team are putting their producers and suppliers front and centre with the launch of Fodder Fridays Breakfast Club.

Teaming up Your Harrogate radio, the award-winning farm shop will welcome three different suppliers into the café every Friday to enjoy a Fodder breakfast and talk about their businesses and their links to Fodder over the years.

The weekly slot, which will broadcast between 10am  – 12noon, will also be a chance for the team to give regular updates on the refit ahead of the reopening on Monday 17th March.

Allister Nixon Chief Executive of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society which owns and runs Fodder at the Great Yorkshire Showground said: “We have come up with a refurbishment plan that ensures that Fodder is a showcase of Yorkshire produce as well as being commercially sound for the future, enabling the Society to continue to invest back into the agricultural community.

“Fodder is special and unique in that all of its profits go back to charity, enabling us to further support farmers through education, grants, support groups and health checks. We really appreciate our customers’ loyalty and support through the refurbishment period.”
