Two years of hard work have paid off for fruity Tipples Ltd, a young and growing company based just outside Holmfirth, West Yorkshire.
The fruit flavored vodkas, which were originally made for entertaining friends and family have now entered the upper echelons of the food and drink world by being awarded with the much coveted 2 star Great Taste Award by the Guild of Fine Food – known as a mark of quality throughout the sector.
What started as a hobby for founder Kevan Baldwin, has now grown into a thriving business supplying independent retailers throughout Yorkshire, Derbyshire, and Cheshire and as far afield as central London with their flavoured vodkas made with real fruit.
Of the new accolade Kevan said: “Last year we missed out on the award, but we took on board the judges’ comments and kept tweaking the recipe so this year’s award is a recognition of all that hard work”
“We take great care in selecting the right varieties and quantity of fruit to ensure there is no need to enhance the flavour by using artificial flavourings or colorings making them superb on their own, as a mixer for longer drinks, or ingredients for more sophisticated cocktails.”
Fruity Tipples clearly impressed the panel of judges in this year’s awards which received over 10,000 food and drink entries from around the UK, commenting that: “This would be wonderful poured over ice cream or served chilled we are in heaven. A Knock out!”
