GET FIT WITH FOOD! Healthy eating store opens in York health club

Healthy eating company Filmore & Union have taken getting fit to a new level this week as they joined forces with Roko Health Club in York and opened their seventh outlet in Yorkshire.

Gym goers and visitors to the club will now have access to light and nutritious wholefood dishes which will complement their healthy lifestyle choices, refuelling their bodies’ pre and post workout.

This is the first gym and health club Filmore & Union have teamed up with, and the move comes with the launch of their fitness take-out range which will be available to eat-in or take-out at their new café in Roko, and also at their York Station site.

Filmore & Union founder and director Adele Ashley said, “We’re absolutely over the moon with our new store and can’t wait for Roko’s members to discover our nutritious, protein-packed menu. Understandably, there’s a real demand for healthy food in gyms and health clubs ““ if people are going to spend a couple of hours sweating it out in the gym, they don’t want to ruin it all with stodgy snacks when they come out!”.
Filmore & Union’s fitness range at Roko has been developed with personal trainers from Fluid Training in Harrogate and includes everything from protein boosting smoothies and wellness shots, to freshly-squeezed ‘remedy’ fruit juices, superfood salad boxes and wholesome wraps and sandwiches.

Roko’s General Manager, Murtagh Mulholland is also delighted with the transition and hopes people will support the new change, “We’ve had a fantastic response so far. Members are really appreciative of the new healthy ranges of food and drinks which they can now have pre and post their workout at the club. I can only see the partnership moving from strength to strength and we look forward to more great products being offered to our members”.
