Harrogate Brewery take home the Gold in the SIBA Independent Beer Awards 2024

Family run Harrogate Brewing Company are celebrating after winning 4 national awards at the SIBA Independent Beer Awards recently.

Judged by brewers and industry experts and organised by the Society of Independent Brewers and Associates (SIBA) at their flagship BeerX UK event in Liverpool, the North Yorkshire based company were awarded a Gold for both their Nidd Mild and Kursaal Imperial Stout, whilst their Wavey Marms IPA collected a National Bronze.

Their biggest accolade of the night however went to their Nidd Mild which also went on to collect the overall top keg beer award of the competition, the Champion Keg Beer UK.

The Awards are the trade association’s National finals and in order to earn a place at the competition brewers must first win at their regional level, making these overall Champions very much the ‘best of the best’ when it comes to British independent craft beer.

Julie Joyce who runs the business alongside her husband Joe said: “These awards, together with the Regional Awards received earlier in the week mean so much to everybody at the brewery.  We produce a growing range of traditional and contemporary styles and the number of awards received this week are a wonderful recognition of our dedication to offer what our customers want.”
