A family run dessert company have launched a new range of handmade luxury cheesecakes to add to their growing portfolio of over 130 handcrafted products.
Shipley based Just Desserts new range will feature five new additions including Raffaello Cheesecake, Lindt Chocolate Cheesecake, Lindt White Chocolate Cheesecake, Philadelphia Cheesecake and a Red Velvet Cheesecake which will be widely available in farm shops, delis and other hospitality businesses.
The new products were launched in response to an increasing demand for the firms existing range of luxury cheesecakes over recent years and are the first to be launched under the acquisition of Regal Food Products Group with more new products planned for later in the year.
The launch come after the family run bakery continues to enjoy a resurgence in business in the post Covid market, seeing sales and trading 10% ahead of like for like sales compared to 2 years ago.
Managing Director James O’Dwyer said: “We’re really excited to launch our new products into the market and continue the growth that the business has enjoyed over the last couple of years to meet our growing customer demand.”
Founded by husband-and-wife team James and Carol O’Dwyer more than 36 years ago, the team completed a £160K expansion project in March 2020 just before the first covid lockdown, to future proof the business and its growth, with the investment including building works to increase the bakery’s footprint by more than 60% along with new equipment which included the installation of a larger freezer and increased storage capacity, improved staff facilities and a new board room.
The production team has also recently grown and now has a 20 strong workforce with the appointment new bakers and drivers along with a business development manager to continue the company’s growth.
