Drake & Macefield is an award-winning butcher and champion pie maker with traditional butchers shops in Settle, Skipton and Cross Hills providing the finest selection of fresh meat sourced from local farmers and producers who share our commitment to excellence. We also produce our own award-winning pies, sausages, cured and smoked meats plus oven ready and ready-to-cook meals.
Customers can shop with us in person for friendly banter at any of our locations or use our online shop from the comfort of their own home for home delivery or click & collect convenience.
Winning many national accolades over the years, the reputation of the firm helps to put Yorkshire on the map as a home to quality independent artisan food retailers. Recently we have scooped Great Taste Awards and a Bronze Award in the hotly contested British Pie Awards, up against 900 entrants from across the UK.
Drake & Macefield was established in 1898 by an uncle and nephew pairing. It is now owned and run by two families who were nurtured by the ancestors of those original founders. Today, fathers, sons, brothers and wives from the Teals and the Proctor families work across the business.
As well as serving our domestic customers, our commercial contracts mean our meat is served in many local hotels, pubs and restaurants, our produce sold in village stores and our pies favoured by Leeds Utd supporters at Elland Road.
