National Railway Museum expands venue hire options  

The National Railway Museum in York is launching a versatile new events space for hire in 2016. Available from September 2016, the Gallery will be suitable for a wide range of occasions, from conferences and product launches to exhibitions and weddings.

NRM Gallery-11_LOGO RESIZEWith capacity for up to 200 delegates theatre-style, the Gallery is set to be a popular new addition to the suite of existing event options at the National Railway Museum.  As well as complementary car parking and free Wi-Fi, delegates will also be able to enjoy refreshments served in an exclusive space in the atmospheric Station Hall, which houses Royal trains including Queen Adelaide’s and Queen Victoria’s luxurious personal saloon.

Michelle Rennoldson, Sales and Events Manager at the National Railway Museum, says: “We are committed to providing the very best facilities for business events in the city and we are delighted to be able to offer this completely new space. The flexibility of the Gallery means it can host all manner of occasions. The space will be available for dry hire and the events team will be on hand to help create bespoke and unique events that are guaranteed to wow guests.”

The Gallery can be hired for events from September 2016 until January 2017, with plans to open again for the same period from September 2017. It adds to the museum’s extensive range of event spaces, including a dedicated conference centre with six meeting rooms accommodating 140 delegates; Station Hall and the Great Hall, which are available for receptions, awards dinners or Christmas parties; and the beautifully restored 1956 Pullman-style carriage, The Countess of York.
