Two Malton based businesses have come together to create an exciting new product with a kick!
Simon Barrett, aka The Chilli Jam Man has team up with pâtissier and chocolatier, Florian Poirot to launch the ‘Balls of Steel’ chilli chocolate roulette.
Originally handmade in small batches by The Chilli Jam Man, the product proved to be so popular that the team couldn’t keep up with demand. Realising its potential, Simon decided to call on the help of fellow Malton based producer Florian to scale up production.
Simon said: “We needed someone we could trust to take over this much-loved product and we knew Florian’s work well.
“This isn’t some mass-produced item that could be made by anyone, so we were thrilled when he agreed to take our ‘Balls of Steel’ chilli roulette set to the next level”.
“We know these chocolates will fly out on the run-up to Christmas this year, and it’s great to have a Yorkshire-based collaboration with such a talented chocolatier.”
The new ‘Balls of Steel’ roulette includes hand-painted confectionery made using 56% Belgian chocolate. With three fiery chilli chocolates hidden amongst each set, there are two versions available, the ‘Standard Edition’ with 3 hot chilli chocolates, or the ‘Extreme Edition’ which has more than double the heat and is not for the faint hearted.
