The Devonshire Arms Food & Wine Week

The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa have announced a Food and Wine Week from Monday 1st December until Sunday 7th December which I thought would be of interest to your readers!

The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa, known to its friends as The Dev, will be joined by some of the UK’s most exciting chefs, including; Andrew Pern from The Star Inn, who recently regained a Michelin star, Mark Birchall from L’enclume, who holds a Michelin Star, James Mackenzie from the Michelin star The Pipe & Glass and Tim Bilton from The Spiced Pear to name a few.

*Monday 1st, December, 7pm ‘Take 5 chefs!’ Tickets £75 with optional wine flight from £45*

Starting off the week is ‘Take 5 Chefs!’ where The Dev’s head chef of the Burlington Restaurant, Adam Smith, welcomes a host of Yorkshire chefs into his kitchen to prepare a five course dinner. The chefs include Andrew Pern from The Star Inn, James Mackenzie from The Pipe and Glass, Tim Bilton from The Spiced Pear and Stephanie Moon from Rudding Park. Each chef will prepare a course with The Devs’ in-house Cellar Master Nigel Fairclough, selecting wines to complement the delicious menu.

*Tuesday 2nd, December. ‘War of the Roses’ Lunch Tickets £49.50.*

This event invites you to join chef Nigel Haworth from Northcote Manor in Lancashire, and Burlington Restaurant’s head chef Adam Smith as they go up against one another to prepare the most delicious meal of the day in ‘War of the Roses’. This superb lunch will see the two chefs cooking up a storm against one another – certain to be a exciting dining experience.

*Tuesday 2nd, December, 7pm. Dinner with Lee Bennett from Crafthouse restaurant. Tickets £65.*

Lee Bennet from the Crafthouse restaurant in Leeds will showcase his signature dishes alongside the hotel’s own Adam Smith. Each chef will create three dishes to wow discerning diners. Wines will be carefully selected by Nigel Fariclough to accompany the meal.

*Wednesday 3rd of December, 7pm. Laurent Perrier Dinner Tickets £95.*

Due to popular demand, as the week hits the mid way mark, The Dev welcomes back the Laurent Perrier dinner. This special gourmet evening will see Laurent Perrier champagne matched to a seasonal taster menu prepared by head chef of the Burlington Restaurant, Adam Smith. The event will be hosted by Stuart Birtles of Laurent Perrier.

*Thursday 4th of December, 7pm. Mark Birchall – ‘A Taste of L’enclume’ Tickets £95.*

Thursday sees Mark Birchall, head chef at Simon Rogan’s restaurant, ‘L’enclume’ create a menu drawing inspiration from the award winning Michelin starred restaurant in Cartmel. Mark will deliver a culinary treat for diners through his fresh and exciting seasonally foraged menu.

*Saturday 6th of December, 7pm. Adam Smith ‘A Taste of Delights’ Tickets £75.*

As the celebrations continue into the weekend, Adam Smith takes the reins to create a truly spectacular dinner with his own unique style. Adam is passionate about sourcing the very best ingredients and creating the most delicious and stunning dishes, not just dinner but a whole experience.

*Sunday 7th of December, 7pm. Joe Fattorini – Bebendum Wines Tickets £95.*

On the final night of the Food & Wine Week, wine specialist Joe Fattorini will be hosting an evening of glorious wines, accompanied by a tasting menu from Adam Smith. Joe’s passion and knowledge will guarantee a truly memorable finish to a week of culinary delights.
