The Devonshire Arms to host spring wine experience

The Devonshire Arms are to host a special event this month celebrating some of the world’s finest wines.

Set in the hotel’s recently refurbished Garden Room on Thursday 27th March, the Riedel Wine Experience will offer diners a fascinating and sensory evening, exploring the relationship between the shape of the wine glass and how this affects the impact and enjoyment of the wine, including its flavour notes and texture.

Hosted by Riedel’s John Hickney, who will showcase how Riedel have perfected the art of designing glasses which amplify the characteristics of each grape varietal, their precisely honed state-of-the-art ‘Veloce’ collection of glassware will be the “wine instrument” of the evening.

Guests will enjoy a wonderful selection of contemporary fine wines all creatively paired with Head Chef’s delicious four-course spring menu as part of the event.

A collection of luxury hotel and restaurant properties, The Devonshire Hotels & Restaurants Group form part of The Duke of Devonshire’s hospitality businesses, located at his Bolton Abbey Estate in the Yorkshire Dales and on the Chatsworth Estate in Derbyshire.

The cost of this evening is £150 per person, commencing at 6.30pm with a champagne and canapé reception, followed by a four-course meal and specially paired wines followed by a selection of delicious petit fours to complete the dinner. Each diner will also recieve a complimentary collection of four beautiful Riedel glasses to take home.
